The Position
We are looking for a Technical Sales Specialist for our Pets business segment who will be responsible for the overall execution of all sales and marketing plans, promotional strategies, and projects of assigned products within the assigned territory while also ensuring adherence to the company’s established compliance policies.
The position must ensure that all activities performed and decisions made are aligned with the company’s and the business segment’s objectives through coordination with the immediate supervisor and/or other stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities:
As a Technical Sales Specialist, you will:
Optimize calls to customers and execute sales business plans.
Ensure that sales targets for assigned products are achieved.
Actively promote the company, assigned products, and services.
Conduct, set up, monitor, analyze, interpret, and communicate the results of trial protocols.
Create, maintain, and update customer profiles, customer marketing plans, and rolling sales forecasts.
Manage programs/activities and budgets to stay within standards.
Establish and develop strong, long-term relationships with customers and key decision-makers.
Validate and document customer product complaints and, when appropriate, facilitate the dispatch, destruction, or disposal of defective products.
Monitor local market conditions for changes that might have impact on the business.
Utilize CRM tool and supporting analysis to plan activity, report and monitor samples, and maintain the account.
Demonstrate high ethical and professional standards with all business contacts to maintain Boehringer Ingelheim’s excellent reputation within the animal health community and internally.
Complete all daily administrative responsibilities as required.
Requirements:
An ideal candidate for the role should have the following:
Bachelor’s degree.
A relevant degree in Veterinary Medicine and/or Animal Science is an advantage
Sales experience in Human Pharma/Animal Health industry in a multinational company is preferred but not required
Knowledge/Experience in Pets business segment is an advantage.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated, responsible, and geographically flexible
Knows how to drive a Manual Transmission vehicle, and possesses a valid driver's license
