We are looking for a strategic, results-driven marketing leader to own brand strategy and drive initiatives across the COVID franchise, with accountability for precision marketing, financial performance, and cross-franchise growth.
The Associate Director is a strategic leader that is accountable for leading brand strategy, owning franchise initiatives, and driving high-impact marketing programs. This role requires the ability to lead and influence across market access, sales, finance, legal, global business units, and key stakeholders across the franchise ecosystem, including serving as the primary Sanofi lead within joint venture partnerships where applicable.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Marketing & Precision Marketing
Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies across HCP and consumer audiences, with emphasis on precision marketing approaches
Develop and operationalize actionable consumer journeys that map the end-to-end customer experience across critical touchpoints
Collaborate with GTMC (Go-To-Market Capabilities) and omnichannel enablement partners to support connected customer and consumer experiences
Partner with analytics and insights teams to activate consumer segmentation strategies that enable precision targeting and extract insights that can be of value to customers
Tactical Execution & Cross-Functional Leadership
Oversee end-to-end execution of marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with franchise priorities and business objectives
Manage project timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional coordination with franchise partners
Lead agency partners to develop, execute, and maintain high-quality marketing materials and programs
Lead governance of promotional materials through internal legal, regulatory, and medical review processes
Performance Management & Optimization
Define KPIs and measurement frameworks tied to business outcomes; drive continuous optimization based on performance data
Monitor campaign effectiveness through rigorous KPI tracking, analytics, and ongoing performance reviews
Establish learning agendas that apply consumer insights, competitive intelligence, and media effectiveness data to improve ROI
Budget & Agency Management
Steward and optimize assigned promotional budgets to maximize ROI and business impact
Maintain strong agency partnerships and manage marketing investments across media, creative, digital, and other vendors
Ensure agency ecosystem delivers excellence in execution, innovation, and value
About you:
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
5 years of experience in Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, and/or Biotech industries or agency, within marketing, sales, market access, strategy projects, project management, and/or operation roles.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree (MBA or related field)
Precision Marketing experience
Consumer products background strongly valued
Experience with Omnichannel (email outreach, consumer connections planning, journey mapping, touchpoint identification), audience segmentation and targeting and digital marketing (connected campaigns + analytics)
Experience with Vaccines, biologics, or injectables
Market access and Product launch experience
Proven ability to lead, influence, and drive results across matrixed organizations without direct authority
Exceptional strategic thinking and business acumen with ability to architect innovative solutions
Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution
Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills with meticulous attention to detail
Experience managing creative agencies and third-party vendors to deliver exceptional results
Proven ability to navigate promotional materials through legal, regulatory, and medical review processes
Outstanding project management, problem-solving, and organizational skills

The salary range for this position is:
$148,500.00 - $214,500.00
