ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an entry-level SDET to join our Industrial IoT team, collaborating with developers and technical specialists. This position plays a critical role in the development, implementation, and maintenance of our IoT platform, supporting our strategy for modernizing industrial systems. As part of our Technology organization, you will work with a global team to deliver robust, scalable, and compliant IoT solutions. You’ll contribute to the transformation of our industrial network, leveraging modern technologies and integrating IoT with enterprise systems.
As an SDET I, you will support the development and execution of automated and manual test cases for Industrial IoT and other manufacturing projects. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers to qualify and validate software components and ensure robust, scalable solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and execute automated and manual tests for new and existing IIoT platform components.
• Develop and maintain unit, integration, regression, performance, API, and exploratory tests to validate interactions between modules, APIs, and external systems.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure comprehensive test coverage across the software stack.
• Assist in building and maintaining automated test suites.
• Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
• Document defects and collaborate with developers for resolution.
• Participate in test planning, review sessions, and Agile ceremonies.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to qualification plans, system documentation, and Confluence pages.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as needed.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in software testing or automation.
• Basic programming skills (Python, Java, or similar).
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and test methodologies.
• Experience working in Agile development environments (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe), collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with industrial automation concepts is a plus.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
• Exposure to CI/CD tools and cloud environments.
• Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Pytest).
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, Codex).
• Experience with test management systems.
• Exposure to performance and security testing tools.
• Interest in learning about IIoT, edge computing, and regulated industries.
