ABOUT THE ROLE

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. We are looking for a motivated Software Development Engineer II to join our Manufacturing Applications Product Team. This is a junior/mid-level role focused on building and enhancing full stack applications that support Manufacturing and Operations use cases. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers, contributing to feature development, bug fixes, and incremental improvements. This role emphasizes learning, mentorship, and collaboration while providing exposure to modern technologies and practices.

Roles & Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain features for full stack applications using React (front-end) and Python FastAPI (back-end).

Assist in building and optimizing APIs, microservices, and cloud-native solutions on AWS.

Develop responsive user interfaces and ensure seamless user experiences across devices.

Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical deliverables.

Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and code reviews, contributing to team success.

Support DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline setup and automated testing under guidance.

Maintain technical documentation for developed features and modules.

Leverage AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development and improve code quality.

Stay curious and continuously learn emerging technologies and best practices.

Must-Have Skills

Hands-on experience in software engineering with exposure to full stack development.

Practical experience with React (front-end) and Python FastAPI (back-end) for developing production features.

Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS) and willingness to learn cloud-native architectures.

Familiarity with microservices, API development, and distributed systems.

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Experience using AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, etc.).

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Experience working in Agile development environments (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe).

Good-to-Have Skills

Experience with event-driven architectures and streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka, Debezium, or similar platforms.

Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Pytest).

Experience deploying, managing, and scaling applications using Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms.

Experience with developing applications integrated with Large Language Models (LLMs), such as OpenAI GPT, Azure OpenAI, or similar platforms.

Experience with other modern frameworks or languages such as Angular, Vue.js, Node.js, Java, or .NET is a plus.

Education and Certifications

Bachelor’s degree with 5-8 years in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

Relevant certifications (AWS, SAFe Agile) are a plus.
