The Sr Marketing Manager Ooncology Nurse Education will lead the development and execution of nurse-focused educational resources and engagement strategies across-priority tumor types. You will translate scientific and clinical insights into impactful, compliant nurse education programs that equip Oncology Nurse Educators (ONEs) to confidently support our nurse customers. You will assist in analysis of nursing insights to identify key segment drivers. Works in collaboration with assigned Brand Teams.
The Senior Marketing Manager, Oncology Nurse Education is responsible for the tactical execution of Nurse Educator Strategy according to assigned franchises This position will report into the Senior Director of Oncology Nurse
Education, and will work in close partnership with the Oncology Nurse Educator (ONE) Field Directors, members of the Franchise teams and cross functional partners. The role will play a critical role in the execution of the ONE marketing plan across multiple franchises.
This position is based at our Gaithersburg, MD campus (Washington DC Metro area), where clinical expertise, sound critical thinking, and excellence come together to advance cancer care. This role requires 60% in-office attendance.
Responsibilities:
Lead advance of ONE strategy aligned to brand and enterprise priorities, addressing key education gaps across tumor types to support high-quality patient care.
Oversee development, deployment, and lifecycle management of nurse education assets, ensuring compliance, timeliness, and alignment with evolving data, brand strategy, and renewal plans.
Partner with Oncology Nurse Educator Directors and field teams to capture real-world insights and translate them into actionable education strategies, materials, and enhancements.
Translate clinical and nursing insights into compelling, compliant educational content, tools, and resources relevant to both community and academic settings.
Develop educational content that supports brand strategic imperatives and optimal patient outcomes, with a focus on dosing and administration, adherence, clinical nursing support, diagnostic testing, and adverse event management.
Manage the ONE marketing budget across brands and team budgets to support effective tactical execution.
Support and train ONE field teams on approved materials and aligned messaging.
Lead congress strategy and execution, including exhibitions, advisory boards, and insight generation for ONE initiative.
Drive clear communication and coordination across Nurse Education, Brand, and cross-functional teams, including Access, Medical, Regulatory, Compliance, Precision Medicine, and agency partners.
Support nurse-focused engagement at key national conferences, including ONS, AONN, and JADPRO, through content strategy, booth presence, and educational programming aligned to ONE objective.
Manage agency partners, scopes of work, purchase orders, invoices, and project timelines to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.
Ensure adherence to AstraZeneca regulatory, legal, and compliance policies
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) or equivalent BS
3 plus years of recent pharmaceutical experience
Basic finance experience, understanding forecasts, budgets, financial processes and tools
Cross-functional team experience
Experience in project management, strategic planning processes and agency management
Strong interpersonal, communication (written and oral), organizational, relationship building, and consulting skills
Demonstrated ability to lead team of functionaland technical members to achieve outcomes
Possess strong business acumen andinterpersonal skills
Desireable:
3-5 years Oncology Nursing or Oncology pharmacist experience strongly preferred
Clinical/Oncology clinical experience is a plus · Understanding of portfolio planning processes is a plus

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $151,081-$226,622. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles) or to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
