ABOUT THE ROLE
Role Description:
The Specialist SAP Architect will play the role of ATTP Technical Architect SAP with ABAP with strong expertise in S/4HANA ABAP development and SAP ATTP integration, particularly in pharmaceutical serialization environments. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in serialization, aggregation, EPCIS event processing, and building robust interfaces between SAP ATTP, S/4HANA, and external systems. This role requires deep technical proficiency, regulatory awareness, and experience working in GxP-regulated pharmaceutical environments.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Develop and support ABAP solutions for SAP ATTP and S/4 HANA
Design, build, and support interfaces between ATTP, S/4HANA, and external systems.
Work on serialization, aggregation, and EPCIS event processing
Develop enhancements, custom reports, forms, and integrations.
Perform debugging, performance tuning, and optimization in HANA environment.
Develop and enhance CDS Views, AMDP, and HANA-optimized objects.
Work with integration technologies such as IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, OData services.
Support SIT, UAT, and production issue resolution.
Collaborate with functional, integration, validation, and business teams.
Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical serialization regulations and GxP requirements.
Support global rollout activities and post-go-live stabilization.
Basic Qualifications and Experience
Doctorate degree OR
Master’s degree in computer science or STEM majors and 5 to 7 years of IT or related field experience OR
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or STEM majors and 7 to 10 years of IT or related field experience OR
Diploma in computer science or STEM majors and 11 to 14 years of IT or related field experience
Must-Have Skills:
Strong experience in ABAP / OO ABAP development
Proven hands-on experience in S/4HANA ABAP development
Mandatory experience in SAP ATTP Interfaces
Strong experience in Serialization & aggregation processes, EPCIS event processing, Track & Trace integrations
Strong experience using IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, OData Services
Proven experience in SAP ATTP Interface ABAP development and solid experience working on serialization and EPCIS message processing
Experience developing interfaces between ATTP ↔ S/4HANA and ATTP ↔ External regulatory/partner systems.
Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills with a solid understanding of Serialization data flow and supply chain events.
Compliance & Domain Knowledge
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical serialization regulations: DSCSA, EU FMD , Other global compliance frameworks
Experience working in GxP-regulated environments.
Knowledge of validation documentation and compliance standards
Good-to-Have Skills:
Experience with SAP Fiori / Fiori Elements
Experience in Order-to-Cash (OTC) or Supply Chain domain
Experience in global rollouts or post-go-live support
Experience working in Agile delivery models Experience with Agile/Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) for SAP-specific development projects, ensuring efficient delivery of ABAP enhancements and customizations in an iterative, collaborative environment.
Professional Certifications (please mention if the certification is preferred or mandatory for the role):
SAP S/4HANA ABAP Certification (Mandatory): (e.g., SAP Certified Development Associate – ABAP for SAP HANA 2.0 / S/4HANA ABAP Certification or latest equivalent)
Soft Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively collaborating with functional teams, gathering business requirements, and documenting technical specifications and solutions in a clear and concise manner.
High attention to detail in writing, debugging, and maintaining ABAP code, ensuring adherence to best practices, clean core principles, and compliance with SAP development standards.
Ability to adapt to evolving SAP technologies and project requirements, staying up to date with the latest advancements while meeting dynamic business needs in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues in complex SAP systems, identify root causes, and provide effective technical solutions that align with business processes.
Collaborative mindset, working closely with cross-functional teams, SAP consultants, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of custom ABAP solutions that meet organizational goals.
