We are looking for a Medical Science Liaison Rare Disease & Epilepsy Romania to join us in our regional Medical Affairs team, field based in Bucharest, Romania.

About the role

As a Medical Science Liaison Rare Disease & Epilepsy Romania, you will identify and foster purposeful partnerships with key scientific influencers to drive new sources of patient value. The role it is field based.

What you’ll do

Agile and proactive identification and management of key scientific and medical influencers based on local ecosystem dynamics and stakeholder needs and drivers (from push to pull).

Exploration and identification of new sources of patient value (innovative solutions and services).

Manage and generate product/ disease state data (IIS, audits, RWE etc.).

Support clinical studies, clinical development and share insights with R&D team.

Serving as the leading local scientific expert for UCB solutions.

Supporting market access colleagues when applicable in presentation of RWE/HEOR/clinical information to regional and local payer accounts and formularies.

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

Educational background: scientific profile preferred, university degree (Master, PhD) in Life Sciences, Medicine, Biology, Pharma.

Relevant therapeutic experience in neurology with minimum 2 years of MSL or pharmaceutical/healthcare industry related experience desired.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills including networking and presentation skills.

The ability to clearly articulate complex scientific in 1:1 and group settings.

Customer service oriented, business acumen required with the ability to take initiative and work both independently and in a team.

Willingness to travel extensively, both nationally and internationally, but also internationally (within the East Europe region). The position is field base (60%).

Languages: full professional proficiency in Romanian and English (both oral and written).
