Your new role

As a DevOps Engineer in our LABs Delivery team, you will support and continuously improve GxP-critical laboratory IT systems, including global LIMS, CDS and related platforms. Support Oracle database activities including PL/SQL changes, query optimization, view updates, release scripts, performance tuning, and database-layer troubleshooting.

Managing installation, configuration and upgrades across multiple environments

Ensuring business continuity, disaster recovery readiness and system high availability

Collaborating with vendors and internal stakeholders including System Managers, System Owners and Project Owners to resolve issues and implement best practices

Within Enterprise IT & Quality, the LABs Delivery team is responsible for the operation and development of GxP-critical laboratory IT systems that underpin production quality across our global sites. You will join a collaborative team that values knowledge sharing, proactive problem-solving and operational excellence – and where your expertise directly supports the safe delivery of medicines to patients worldwide.

Your skills & qualifications

We are looking for someone who thrives in a compliance-driven, fast-paced IT environment and brings both technical depth and strong stakeholder engagement skills. You will bring with you:

A bachelor’s degree in engineering or Master of Computer Applications

6–10 years of relevant IT experience, preferably in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other regulated environments, with hands-on experience in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, LIMS configuration/support, Oracle PL/SQL or query optimization, and validated system operations

Strong expertise in Change, Release, Incident, and Problem Management.

Strong hands-on experience with Git and GitHub or GitLab, including CI/CD pipeline design and troubleshooting, runners or agents, scripting, reusable pipeline components, and artifact or package management.

Experience with server management (Linux & Windows), Oracle PL/SQL, system patching and network troubleshooting

Experience supporting GxP applications, validation activities and quality management systems within a pharmaceutical environment

Experience with automation, root cause analysis, build and deployment automation, release engineering, and systematic troubleshooting of complex delivery failures.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with LabVantage, Windows, and Database Administration (DBA). Experience working with Linux is an added advantage.

How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
