Country Business Manager for Bangladesh and Maldives (Contract)

Job Summary : Drive business performance and P&L across assigned Frontier Markets through distributor management, while leading market strategy, product launches, and cross-functional alignment to deliver sustainable growth in line with AstraZeneca standards.**** This position will be focus and Based in South Asia (Maldives and Bangladesh ) **** This role is a contract-based position under an outsourced management model .
**** You will be assigned to work with the AstraZeneca Asia Area – Frontier Markets Department.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for the business performance and P&L in assigned Frontier markets through distributor teams.
Work in close coordination with medical, marketing & regulatory to identify the launch brands across assigned markets & optimize the available opportunities in the AZ portfolio.
Owns the Strategies, tactics and marketing plans and influences and improves them wherever required.
Maintain strong relationships with local distributors, remove barriers, and ensure smooth and effective distributor operations.
Prepare markets for new launches across different therapy areas in coordination with marketing & medical and ensure stakeholders across CFT are aligned (regulatory/legal/ops/etc) for a smooth launch.
Work in close coordination with export hub, regulatory, finance & distributor teams to ensure continuity of business with adequate stock levels across market & collections within timelines.
Manage resources to deliver business targets (Business KPIs, regulatory timelines, distributor teams, market share and build AZ’s long-term business in the country).
Conduct necessary local partner evaluations, onboarding, local team medical training (COE / Compliance / Policies etc) and various other key initiatives that drive the business growth in the respective market in line with AZ policies & governance.
Completes with AZ code of conduct & local guidelines, codes and policies and procedure.
Qualifications:
Academic background in science and medicine
Extensive experience in relationships and stakeholder management
Knowledge of marketing and sales drivers.
Knowledge of marketing and sales systems and processes
Understanding of basic science and product knowledge
Strong strategic thinking, communication, written, and presentation skills.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-focused
Ability to synthesize and integrate varied needs/perspectives with proven results
Proven experience in a similar role
Fluent in English reading/writing/speaking
MBA, knowledge of the healthcare system
Demonstrate strong financial acumen
Demonstrate enterprise mindset with an ability to collaborate across functions/hierarchies and network and influence stakeholders locally & globally
