Job Description
The Value & Access Manager at Amgen works to ensure our products are accessible and affordable for patients. They communicate the value of our products to healthcare providers, payers, and policymakers, aiming to maximize patient access and reimbursement.
Key Responsibilities
Understand the key policy issues in Egypt that impact business continuity
Maximize access for Amgen portfolio based on payer responsibility in targeted sectors/accounts through highlighting the value of Amgen portfolio
Map decision processes and identify key decision makers
Develop, implement, and monitor an action plan for priority sectors/accounts in cooperation with the cross-functional team
Ensure net sales objectives in the allocated sectors/accounts
Develop long-term business relationships with identified stakeholders
Ensure launch readiness plans are in place from value & access perspective driving the introduction/access of new launches
Develop the pricing policy for all accounts in alignment with the company pricing policy
Contribute to development of the marketing/commercial strategy
Ensure close partnership with regional value & access partners
Streamline the execution part of Key Account Excellence process
Ensure a consistent value offer, account calculation and implementation follow-up
Requirements
BSc. Pharmacy degree with 5+ years of experience in Pharma market preferably with relevant experience
Pricing & Business Development background is preferred
Health economics fundamentals understanding is a plus
Deep understanding of the current healthcare system transformation & the developing eco-system in Egypt
Previous successful development and implementation of a business plan and/or programs
Understanding of cross-functional nature of pricing, reimbursement and business implications’ skills, abilities & qualifications
Understanding of relevant stakeholders’ landscape in Egypt
Strong leadership skills considering the importance of cross-functional alignment & collaboration
Solid presentation skills
Good organizational, planning, prioritization & time management skills
