Amgen Innovation Lab is Amgen’s official outlet for experimental projects across the company to test a hypothesis, receive early patient and stakeholder feedback, and determine product market fit. Project teams get expert guidance, and a lightweight release process to help teams get their experiments out quickly. Teams move fast, connect directly with stakeholders, and iterate based on feedback.
Innovation Lab fosters moonshot disruptive ideas, new products, and technologies by adopting startup-like agility. The work offers structured experimentation, prototyping and an opportunity to work with the emerging technologies using design thinking, lean start-up methodologies, and user centric approaches. Innovation Lab will also partner and collaborate with academia, start-ups, and venture arms on emerging technologies such as causal AI, Quantum tech etc.

As a Technology Strategy & Innovation specialist, you will partner worth startups, academic institutions, technology vendors and internal R&D teams to accelerate the discovery, validation and scaling of AI-driven solutions across Amgen's value chain.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with startups, universities and technology partners to co-create and Pilot AI/ML Solutions
Evaluate external algorithms, platforms and datasets for technical soundness, scalability and regulatory fit
Translate Partner innovation into Amgen-ready architectures, aligning with internal data, security and governance standards
Support proof of concepts (PoCs), Hackathons, Joint research initiatives and innovation challenges
Internal Communication: Create reports on market trends and facilitate workshops for internal stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
12–17 years of University Research preferred
Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Data Science, or relevant areas os study
Understanding of Gen AI Tech Stack is preferred
Strong background in Deep Learning, Machine Learning, NLP, Data Mining.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience in Academia, innovation management, startups, or corporate venturing.
Strong networking and communication abilities, analytical skills, and familiarity with startup ecosystems.
Entrepreneurial, curious, and adaptable.
