Senior UI/UX Developer, AI Studio

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role, you’ll join a fun, innovative engineering team within the AI & Data Science (AI&D) organization. You will own the experience for pre-defined AI products, from understanding user needs and shaping UX designs through interaction design, UI implementation, launch, stabilization, support transition, adoption and measurable outcome.

You will remain hands-on while connecting user discovery, UX design and frontend decisions to turn complex business needs and AI capabilities into secure, accessible, intuitive and reusable user experiences. You will partner with product, backend, data and ML teams to translate designs into production interfaces integrated with APIs, services, data and AI capabilities. Within Applied AI, AI Studio turns prioritized business demand into governed, reusable AI assets with accountable ownership and measurable value across software, data, automation, machine learning, Generative AI, RAG, bounded agents, evaluation, observability and lifecycle operations.

Responsibilities

Lead user-centered discovery with product and UX partners: define user needs, workflows, roles, intended use, baseline, acceptance criteria, accessibility needs, adoption path, operating owner, value hypothesis and measurable technical and business outcomes.

Translate user research, journeys, workflows, rules, handoffs, exceptions, data dependencies and human decision points into clear UX designs, interaction patterns, prototypes and implementable UI requirements.

Own the translation of UX designs into responsive UI frontend architecture across human-AI experience, design systems, component composition, state, secure sessions, accessibility, browser performance, API integration, telemetry and graceful failure.

Lead modern UI delivery using JavaScript or TypeScript and React, Next.js or comparable component-based frameworks; turn UX designs and prototypes into accessible, performant production interfaces, and contribute full-stack expertise to API contracts, integrations, data flows and production support as needed.

Design and implement human-AI UX and UI experiences that integrate model services, LLMs, RAG, search, agents, BI and deterministic automation with access-aware data, clear loading and error states, evidence, human control, feedback and traceable outcomes.

Establish risk-based UI, accessibility, integration and end-to-end testing; contribute to CI/CD, staged release, telemetry, rollback, incident response, browser performance, runbooks and support ownership.

Coordinate governance and GxP controls, create reusable UI components, patterns and playbooks, lead root-cause analysis, measure adoption and experience quality, mentor engineers and improve frontend delivery practices.

How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
