As E3S continues to evolve, TechOps supports the service through digital transformation, process improvement, and modern business technology.
The Role:
We are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join the E3S TechOps team in Lisbon.
This is a senior role operating at the intersection of business process, compliance, technology, and transformation. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, operational teams, IT, and external partners to translate complex business requirements into effective, scalable, and compliant business-technical solutions.
The role requires a highly analytical and collaborative individual who can work confidently across business and technical teams, engage effectively with senior stakeholders, and contribute to the delivery of complex initiatives and programmes. It offers the opportunity to support key transformation priorities across process optimisation, platform evolution, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities.
Key responsibilities:
Partner with business and technical stakeholders to understand needs, gather business requirements, and translate them into clear functional and technical requirements that support effective end-to-end solutions
Lead or support complex initiatives, projects, and programmes across the E3S process and technology landscape
Analyse business processes, controls, risks, and operational challenges to identify improvement opportunities and support scalable solution design
Drive business analysis activities, including discovery, requirements gathering, process mapping, impact assessment, and definition of business rules, user stories, and functional requirements to support technical design and delivery
Work across business, compliance, and technology domains to ensure solutions are practical, effective, and aligned with operational and regulatory requirements
Support the design and improvement of applications, systems, integrations, automations, and technology-enabled processes by translating business and compliance needs into clear solution requirements
Identify and support opportunities in AI, automation, and digital process improvement to enhance efficiency, quality, and user experience
Collaborate with IT, product teams, vendors, and project stakeholders to support delivery of enhancements, integrations, platform changes, and digital capabilities
Contribute to platform and process evolution in line with the E3S roadmap and broader transformation priorities
Facilitate workshops, stakeholder discussions, and alignment sessions across cross-functional teams
Support testing and business readiness activities, including UAT coordination, documentation, training input, communications, and adoption support
Monitor data quality, process effectiveness, and solution outcomes, and help define areas for improvement
Support governance, prioritisation, roadmap discussions, and benefit tracking across strategic initiatives
Provide guidance and informal mentorship to junior analysts or project team members where appropriate

Essential requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Significant experience in a Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role within a complex business and technology environment
Proven experience working across both business and technical teams to shape and deliver effective solutions
Strong experience working with Salesforce platforms or similar enterprise CRM / workflow ecosystems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including process analysis, requirements definition, and solution assessment
Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and operate across complex cross-functional initiatives
Experience supporting digital transformation, systems change, or platform-enabled business improvements
Good understanding of business processes, controls, compliance considerations, and operational impacts in solution design
Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills in English, both written and spoken
Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a global matrix environment
Strong collaboration skills, sound judgement, and a proactive, solution-oriented approach
Interest in or experience with AI, automation, and emerging digital capabilities
Preferred experience:
Experience within the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or another regulated environment
Exposure to Salesforce Life Sciences, digital workflow tools, or modern service platforms
Experience with AI-enabled tools, automation solutions, or digital copilots
Experience in shared services, global operations, or transformation-focused environments
Experience supporting business readiness, adoption, or change activities
Familiarity with enterprise platforms and integrations, including SAP HANA, or similar ecosystems
Experience working in geographically distributed and matrixed teams
