As Senior Scientist, Chemical Process Development within our MSAT (Manufacturing Sciences, Analytics and Technology) team, you'll contribute to the industrialization of Sanofi's future pipeline and secure industrial performance through process development, technical support, and innovation. As part of the Aramon/Sisteron/Mourenx chemistry platform, you'll work at the forefront of new molecule launches, developing and optimizing chemical processes that bring life-changing medicines to patients worldwide. Main responsibilities:
Develop and optimize chemical processes for new molecule launches through hands-on laboratory experiments, working under fume hood in strict compliance with HSE and GMP standards
Support industrial technology transfers from development to commercial production, collaborating with CMC, site teams, and global MSAT networks
Provide technical expertise to resolve production issues, conduct deviation investigations, and propose solutions for batch recovery
Drive continuous improvement by optimizing existing processes and participating in supplier qualification programs (MSEP)
Mentor junior scientists and technicians on laboratory techniques, process development methodologies, and safety practices
Communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams through reports, presentations, and technical committees
Ensure rigorous documentation of experiments and results in electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN)
About you
Experience: Hands-on experience in organic synthesis and laboratory-scale chemical process development; familiarity with process industrialization, scale-up studies, and GMP environments is highly valued
Soft and technical skills:
Strong foundation in organic chemistry (reactions, extraction, crystallization, distillation);
Proficiency in analytical techniques (TLC, HPLC, NMR, GC)
Customer-oriented mindset with agility to switch between priorities
Team spirit and ability to mentor others
Proactive problem-solving approach
Education: PhD in organic chemistry or chemical engineering strongly preferred; Master's degree or Engineering degree (Bac+5) in relevant scientific discipline with significant experience will also be considered
Languages: French (mandatory for daily operations); English (good level required for international collaboration and scientific documentation)

The salary range for this position is :€54 400,00 - €72 533 Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
