About this opportunity

Introduction to the Role

Are you ready to design secure, plug-and-play platform capabilities that enable engineering teams to build and deliver software safely at speed?

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will be a senior DevSecOps builder responsible for designing and delivering Golden Pipelines, reusable infrastructure modules, GitHub Actions workflows, and standardized templates. You will turn complex requirements into secure, scalable capabilities that allow product teams to focus on their applications rather than the underlying engineering foundations.

You will act as a subject-matter expert and technical lead, guiding complex designs and helping other engineers grow their capabilities. This is a hands-on senior individual contributor role without formal people-management responsibilities.

Accountabilities

Golden Pipelines and Templates: Design and deliver secure, compliant Golden Pipelines, GitHub Actions workflows, and reusable infrastructure templates for enterprise use.

Terraform Module Engineering: Design and build modular, scalable, secure, and reusable Terraform modules using advanced Infrastructure as Code patterns.

DevSecOps by Design: Embed SAST, DAST, SCA, software bill of materials generation, supply-chain security controls, and protections against pipeline threats.

Secure Architecture: Lead technical design across serverless, container, compute, networking, and hybrid environments.

Secure CI/CD Patterns: Define and implement secure CI/CD patterns that can be adopted consistently across engineering teams.

Automation and Tooling: Build automation and internal tooling using Python or Go, applying appropriate testing and software-engineering practices.

Testing and Quality: Define and implement testing strategies for Infrastructure as Code, scripts, and automation, using tools such as Terratest where appropriate.

Technical Leadership: Guide Platform Engineers, review designs and technical work, and help the team make secure, scalable engineering decisions.

Documentation and Enablement: Produce clear architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and implementation guidance that enable teams to use platform capabilities effectively.

AI and Innovation: Apply AI tools responsibly to accelerate development, testing, security analysis, and secure design while improving platform quality and delivery speed.

How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
