Your new role

As Sr Manager, Medical Affairs Operations, you will lead and develop our team of Regional Medical Advisors (RMAs), ensuring strategic decisions are brought to life through impactful tactics. You will also drive our Omnichannel Customer Engagement (OCE) ambitions, expanding our scientific footprint through both traditional and digital channels in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Leading the RMA team through clear goal setting, performance management, KPIs, coaching and co-travel feedback – while ensuring continuous development in current and new disease areas

Develop RMA as needed based on individual development plans as well as the needs of the company.

Ensuring KOL and DOL engagement plans are in place, executed and measured – including identification of new opinion leaders

Lead operational medical affairs work through but not limited to; advocacy follow-up, advisory boards, ISS collaborations, clinical trial support, high-quality scientific education and training of HCPs, securing relevant scientific content for symposia, congress highlight meetings and educational seminars.

Lead medical affairs operations towards a more scalable digital engagement footprint as well as the application of AI in daily practice

Ensure insights gathering for strategy and tactics.

Leading the OCE agenda from a medical perspective together with Customer Engagement, ensuring strong scientific output through digital channels, optimised LLM use and effective collaboration with the communications team on local media

Providing internal medical guidance, including review and approval of promotional material, training of external-facing employees, sales training support and medical information

Holding budget responsibility for the Medical Affairs Operations team

Partnering with the Head of Medical Affairs, the extended Leadership Team (Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Comms, Clinical, CE, HR), Region Northwest and EUCAN Medical Affairs

Here, you will work shoulder-to-shoulder with colleagues across the affiliate and the Region NW / EUCAN Medical Affairs community to ensure healthcare professionals have access to the best science, in the most relevant formats, at the right time.

Your skills & qualifications

We are looking for an experienced and people-oriented leader who thrives at the intersection of science, strategy and stakeholder engagement. To succeed in this role, you bring:

A higher scientific qualification (MSc required; PhD or MD desirable), combined with around 8 years of Medical Affairs pharmaceutical industry experience

Proven leadership skills with the ability to set direction, coach and develop high-performing medical teams

Relevant therapy area knowledge and a solid understanding of the Swedish healthcare system, including national/local guidelines and drug formulary committees

Strong collaborative, presentation and training skills, with a natural leadership mindset and genuine enjoyment of engaging with people

IT literacy and a curiosity and ideas for how digital tools and AI can elevate medical affairs and KOL/DOL engagement

Proven experience from Medical Affairs OCE

Excellent written and spoken English and Swedish

Salary:  For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 922,620.00 to 1,337,800.00 SEK, corresponding to the level of the position.

The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level,  location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
