As part of the Amgen Argentina Leadership Team, the Senior Manager, Rare Diseases will play a critical role in shaping the affiliate's strategic direction while leading the Rare Diseases Business Unit. This individual will be responsible for driving sustainable business growth, building organizational capabilities, and delivering launch excellence for a rapidly expanding portfolio.

This role requires an enterprise mindset, strong cross-functional leadership, and the ability to successfully execute in a highly complex and evolving healthcare environment. The successful candidate will lead a team of approximately 7–8 employees and be accountable for accelerating the growth of the Rare Diseases franchise, including the successful launch of at least two new products and multiple indications in Argentina.

What you will do

Business Leadership

Lead the Rare Diseases Business Unit, developing and executing strategies aligned with affiliate, regional, and global priorities.

Drive sustainable business growth while strengthening Amgen's leadership in Rare Diseases across Argentina.

Ensure achievement of commercial, financial, operational, and organizational objectives.

Own the Business Unit budget and optimize investments to maximize business impact.

Launch Excellence

Lead the successful commercialization of multiple Rare Diseases assets, including at least two product launches and additional indication launches.

Develop and execute comprehensive launch strategies in close partnership with cross-functional teams.

Monitor business performance and adapt strategies based on market dynamics and customer insights.

Enterprise & Cross-Functional Leadership

Serve as an active member of the Amgen Argentina Leadership Team, contributing to affiliate strategy, organizational priorities, and culture.

Partner effectively across Medical, Value & Access, Market Access, Commercial Excellence, Regulatory, Finance, Legal, Compliance, HR, and Corporate Affairs to ensure integrated business execution.

Foster a One Amgen mindset, enabling collaboration across functions and geographies.

People Leadership

Build, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing organization of approximately 7–8 team members.

Create an inclusive, engaging, and high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous development.

Develop organizational capabilities, succession plans, and future leaders while promoting employee engagement and well-being.

External Engagement

Develop strategic relationships with key healthcare stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, scientific societies, patient advocacy organizations, and other relevant external partners.

Represent Amgen externally while reinforcing the company's reputation as a trusted partner committed to improving outcomes for patients with rare diseases.

Compliance & Governance

Ensure all business activities comply with Amgen policies, applicable regulations, and the highest standards of ethics and integrity.

Champion a culture of compliance, quality, and patient focus across the organization.

What we expect of you

Preferred Qualifications

Significant leadership experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.

Demonstrated success leading business units, brands, or commercial organizations.

Proven experience launching innovative medicines and driving business growth.

Experience leading high-performing teams through periods of transformation and growth.

Experience in Rare Diseases, Specialty Care, or highly specialized therapeutic areas is preferred.

Strong understanding of the Argentine healthcare ecosystem, including market access and reimbursement.

Excellent strategic thinking, business acumen, and execution capabilities.

Strong influencing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed, cross-functional, and global environment.

Experience in Management Teams.

Fluent in English and Spanish.

Doctorate degree OR

Master's degree and 4 years of commercial or marketing experience
