Position Summary:

The Case Management Lead works in a highly visible, team and collaborative environment leading and partnering with both internal and external business partners.  They will serve as a front-line manager with respect to the internal Case Management team, evaluating employees while coaching and developing skillsets.

The Case Management Lead will take a leadership role representing the case management team and provide exceptional leadership at all case management touch points. They will work with patients, prescribers, and sites of care to navigate through the Patient Assistance Program processes as well as working in collaboration with Specialty Pharmacies and Sites of Care in resolution of copay claims. One must listen to and support patients and medical professionals, addressing their specific needs, providing friendly, courteous, professional and well-informed answers and solutions to their questions and needs.

What you will do

Effectively manage, coach, evaluate performance and develop individuals on case manager team

Day to day oversight of performance with awareness of patient customer service issues ensuring that Key Performance Indicators are met with satisfaction

Work closely with the PALs, the hub, specialty pharmacies, and the patient/caregivers to effectively manage complicated cases with barriers in access to therapy

Partner with Safety and Pharmacovigilance and report adverse events and product complaints through medical information

Demonstrate the ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve initial and ongoing access issues and educate/team for future resolution

Liaise with medical offices as necessary to educate on insurance authorization processes for both medical and pharmacy benefit therapies

Identify general and specific adherence trends at the payor level and suggest appropriate action

Assist Associate Director, HUB Services in developing strategy, managing, tracking, and reporting on Open Enrollment efforts and reverification season progress

Subject matter expert amongst case manager team

Serve as liaison with external stakeholders (HUB and Specialty Pharmacy)

Coordinate with Training and the National Sr. Case Manager for onboarding of new hires as well as ongoing training with existing case managers

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of case management experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital.

OR

Associate degree and 10 years of case management experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital.

OR

High school diploma/GED and 12 years of case management experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital.

Preferred Qualifications:

Buy and bill experience required.

Hub Services/Reimbursement/Specialty Pharmacy background strongly preferred.

Excellent communication skills and commitment to customer service.

Ability to effectively resolve hurdles across multiple cases at the same time.

Ability to learn product and disease information, familiarity with HIPAA and FDA.

Ability to manage communication with case managers and other stakeholders across multiple geographies and time zones.

Up to 35% travel required.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.
