Role Overview
We are seeking an AI Digital Product Sr Manager within Enterprise AI & Data Science to lead the strategy, execution, and evolution of Amgen's Enterprise AI Workbench. This developer-centric platform enables AI engineers, software engineers, data scientists, and citizen builders to rapidly build, deploy, govern, and scale enterprise AI agents that accelerate scientific discovery, streamline R&D workflows, and improve enterprise decision making.
You will drive the product strategy for a secure, cloud-native AI platform that provides reusable services, SDKs, APIs, orchestration, developer tooling, observability, and governance. Working cross-functionally with engineering, platform architecture, Responsible AI, security, and business teams, you will deliver a world-class developer experience while ensuring enterprise-grade security, compliance, and Responsible AI.
What You’ll Do
Lead Product Ownership for Enterprise AI Platform: Act as the Product Manager within an Agile framework, ensuring that AI platform products meet the needs of customers and align with the organization's strategic goals. Drive the evolution of a reusable enterprise AI Workbench that includes AI project creation, project provisioning, AI gateway, computation enablement, observability & evaluation, deployment services, and governance capabilities.
Champion an exceptional developer experience and Platform Strategy by simplifying AI development through reusable SDKs, APIs, templates, documentation, reference implementations, self-service capabilities, and internal developer tooling. Translate business needs into technical requirements and prioritize initiatives to increase impact.
Scale Enterprise AI: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of AI initiatives from discovery through enterprise scale, identifying reusable platform capabilities that accelerate adoption while optimizing reliability, scalability, latency, and AI inference costs.
Own platform health and adoption metrics including product usage, active builders, developer experience, platform adoption, model quality, reliability, latency, cost efficiency, Responsible AI compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Drive Responsible AI and Quality: Establish governance, guardrails, evaluation standards, and policy enforcement in partnership with Responsible AI, Security, Privacy, Legal, and Enterprise Architecture. Define evaluation frameworks for quality, safety, reliability, latency, hallucination risk, cost, and business outcomes.
Basic Qualifications
Experience in leading products, defining roadmaps and tracking the success of the product.
Strong technical fluency with cloud-native software platforms and the ability to collaborate effectively with software engineers, AI engineers, platform engineers, architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders. Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills,
Overall 12-17 Years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
8+ years of product management or related experience, including 5+ years delivering AI/ML, developer platform, cloud platform, or enterprise software products.
Experience building or managing enterprise AI platforms, developer platforms, platform-as-a-product, or shared platform capabilities that enable internal or external developers.
Strong understanding of LLMs, AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agent orchestration, model serving, AI evaluation, and ML productization in enterprise environments.
Experience with modern AI and cloud technologies such as AWS, Databricks, MLflow, OpenAI Agents SDK, LangGraph, AutoGen, N8N, or comparable AI development platforms and frameworks.
Experience with cloud-native architectures, APIs, SDKs, microservices, event-driven systems, and modern software engineering practices, with the ability to partner effectively with engineering teams on technical architecture and product decisions.
Experience defining and measuring developer experience, platform adoption, product analytics, customer success metrics, and platform health, using data to drive product decisions and prioritization.
Experience establishing or partnering on Responsible AI, security, privacy, governance, and compliance practices for enterprise AI platforms, including guardrails, policy enforcement, and evaluation standards.
Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting product strategy, technical vision, and business outcomes to senior leadership.
Hands-on experience using experimentation, telemetry, observability, and customer feedback to improve platform adoption, product quality, and user experience.
