About This Role

Biogen is seeking a strategic and analytically rigorous Senior Manager to join the US Commercial Insights & Analytics team supporting the Alzheimer's franchise. This role will help shape commercial strategy by generating actionable insights that inform key business decisions across marketing, sales, patient services, forecasting, and franchise leadership.

The Senior Manager will serve as a trusted thought partner to commercial stakeholders, leveraging advanced analytics, real-world healthcare data, and business expertise to identify growth opportunities, evaluate performance, and influence strategic investments. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to one of the most dynamic and rapidly evolving therapeutic areas in healthcare while supporting the adoption of innovative Alzheimer's treatments.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical capabilities with strategic thinking, business acumen, and executive communication skills to translate complex data into clear recommendations and measurable business impact. This individual will report to the Director, Integrated Insights & Analytics,   Alzheimer’s.

What You'll Do

Strategic Business Partnership

Serve as a trusted analytics partner to marketing, sales, market access, and franchise leadership teams.

Proactively identify opportunities to improve business performance through data-driven insights and strategic recommendations.

Translate evolving business questions into analytical approaches that drive action and measurable impact.

Support commercial planning and decision-making through rigorous analysis of market dynamics, customer behavior, competitive activity, and business performance.

Analytics & Insights Generation

Design and execute analytics to evaluate promotion effectiveness, customer engagement, patient journey dynamics, targeting strategies, and market opportunities.

Leverage pharmaceutical and healthcare datasets, including claims, specialty pharmacy, call activity, payer, and longitudinal patient data.

Develop insights that explain business performance, uncover drivers of growth and risk, and inform strategic trade-off decisions.

Integrate quantitative and qualitative information into clear, actionable business narratives.

Data & Analytics Innovation

Partner with data, technology, and analytics teams to improve analytical capabilities, automate reporting, and enhance data accessibility.

Apply modern analytical approaches using tools such as SQL, Python, Snowflake, Databricks, Power BI, and emerging AI-enabled analytics capabilities.

Champion best practices and evaluate new methodologies in data quality, analytics governance, and insight generation.

Communication & Influence

Develop   executive-ready   presentations and recommendations for senior commercial leaders.

Communicate complex analyses effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Influence cross-functional stakeholders through fact-based storytelling and strategic insight generation.

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Business, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.

5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare analytics, management consulting, or a related analytical discipline.

Demonstrated experience transforming complex data into strategic business recommendations.

Strong experience working with healthcare or pharmaceutical datasets, including claims, patient-level, HCP-level, payer, or commercial data assets.

Hands-on experience with SQL and modern analytics platforms.

Experience communicating analytical findings to business stakeholders and senior leadership.

Proven ability to manage multiple complex workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

Experience supporting neurology, specialty pharmaceutical, or Alzheimer's disease businesses.

Experience with   PurpleLab , Komodo, IQVIA, MMIT, Symphony, Veeva, or similar healthcare datasets.

Experience in forecasting, customer analytics, omnichannel analytics, field force effectiveness, patient analytics, or commercial effectiveness.

Experience developing predictive models, segmentation frameworks, or AI-enabled analytical solutions.

Experience working within cross-functional teams spanning Commercial, Marketing, Market Access, Medical, Finance, and Patient Services.

Advanced   degree   in Business, Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.

Additional Information

The base compensation range for this role is: $142,000.00-$190,000.00

Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.

Regular employees are eligible to receive both short term and long-term incentives, including cash bonus and equity incentive opportunities, designed to reward recent achievements and recognize your future potential based on individual, business unit and company performance.
