The Position

As a Data Scientist at Novo Nordisk, you will:

Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end AI/ML solutions, including Generative AI, to address high-impact business challenges.

Translate business problems into validated data and modelling solutions, driving them through production delivery.

Ensure data quality, governance, reproducibility, and compliance throughout model development and deployment.

Collaborate cross-functionally with data engineering, product, analytics, and business stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes.

Provide technical leadership, mentor peers, and promote best practices in MLOps, model evaluation, and observability.

Qualifications

We are looking for  Data Scientist who thrives on solving complex problems and turning AI innovation into production reality. You'll bring with you:

Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field from a top university

5+ years of consultancy experience in data science, machine learning, or AI with a focus on developing and applying advanced algorithms, preferably from MBB or the Big 4

Proven track record delivering end-to-end AI/ML solutions to production, from problem scoping through deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement

Strong programming skills in Python with solid understanding of software engineering best practices (version control, code reviews, unit testing, modularity)

Extensive hands-on experience with Python data science libraries (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn), deep learning frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow), and GenAI toolkits (LangChain, LlamaIndex or similar)

Practical MLOps experience including CI/CD for models, model registries, experiment tracking (e.g., MLflow), and deploying models on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)

Experience with distributed compute frameworks (Spark, PySpark, Databricks, Snowpark or similar), SQL, and cloud-native ML platforms (Azure ML, SageMaker, Vertex AI)

Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with excellent communication skills, able to explain technical options to both technical and non-technical audiences

Self-starter mentality with attention to quality, reproducibility and operational robustness, plus a genuine passion for mentoring peers and uplifting team capability

Knowledge of AI ethics, bias mitigation, data privacy, governance and security considerations in AI/ML development

The Enterprise AI team develops and deploys scalable artificial intelligence solutions that improve business processes, decision-making, and customer experiences across the organisation. Collaborating with domain experts, the team translates business needs into production-ready models, ensures data governance and compliance, and maintains reliable MLOps pipelines for continuous improvement.

Based in Bangalore, the team operates in a dynamic and fast-paced environment that fosters collaboration and innovation to drive impactful results.
