Your new role

Key responsibilities include :

Defining and executing the long-term strategy for Translational & Clinical Omics

Leading and developing a global organization of data scientists and senior leaders.

Delivering high-quality scientific insights that support translational and clinical development decisions.

Building scalable and reproducible analytical capabilities leveraging genomics, bioinformatics, AI, and computational biology.

Establishing strategic external collaborations and representing Novo Nordisk as a scientific thought leader.

 

Your new department

You will lead the Translational & Clinical Omics team within Novo Nordisk's Artificial Intelligence & Digital Innovation (ADI) Data Science organization. The team consists of world-class experts in statistical genetics, functional genomics, computational biology, systems biology, and bioinformatics who collaborate globally to translate complex human, clinical, and translational data into actionable insights for medicine development. The department partners closely with research, translational medicine, and clinical development teams to improve R&D productivity and help bring innovative treatments to patients faster.

Your skills & qualifications

PhD or equivalent advanced degree in Bioinformatics, Statistical Genetics, Genomics, Computational Biology, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.

More than 10 years of relevant experience in computational biology, genomics, bioinformatics, machine learning, data science, or related disciplines.

Proven leadership experience, including leading managers and global scientific teams.

Deep expertise in areas such as translational omics, functional genomics, statistical genetics, bioinformatics, or systems biology.

Strong track record of delivering scalable and reproducible analytical solutions in complex environments.

Experience influencing senior stakeholders and developing long-term scientific strategies. Hands-on knowledge of programming and analysis tools such as Python and R, as well as cloud-based platforms.

Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Experience applying AI and machine learning to multi-omics, clinical trial, or real-world data

Established external scientific profile with strong academic or industry collaborations.
