Responsible AI Literacy & Enablement Manager
LIVE
WHAT WILL YOU DO
The Manager, Responsible AI Literacy & Enablement will lead enterprise efforts to ensure Amgen colleagues can understand and apply responsible, ethical, and compliant AI practices in their day-to-day work.
This role focuses on two core areas:
Responsible AI literacy: Designing and scaling a layer of enterprise learning focused on responsible use, governance, and risk and regulatory awareness, complementing existing AI literacy efforts focused on AI fundamentals and adoption
Enablement: Reimagining how Responsible AI and governance guidance is delivered so that employees can access and apply the right rules, expectations, and guidance at the point of need, not just through static documents or training
The role operates within a coordinated AI Literacy scaling model, working across teams to ensure consistency, avoid duplication, and enable practical adoption of Responsible AI expectations across the enterprise.
The responsibilities of the role will include:
1. Responsible AI Literacy (Enterprise Layer)
Define and lead the enterprise Responsible AI literacy strategy, focused on responsible and ethical AI use, governance expectations, as well as risk and regulatory awareness
Design a scalable Responsible AI literacy layer that complements foundational AI training, supports function-led role-based learning, and ensures consistent enterprise-wide messaging
Coordinate Responsible AI literacy within a broader AI literacy model, collaborating with the AI Literacy and GTM (Go-to-Market) teams to align scope, avoid duplication, and ensure integration across learning layers
Coordinate with functions on role-based training efforts to align content, identify where enterprise coverage can be leveraged, and maintain consistency with Responsible AI expectations and standards.
Define and track adoption and effectiveness metrics (e.g., reach, role-based coverage, usability, correct application of guidance)
Identify gaps in understanding or application and continuously improve literacy and enablement approaches
2. Responsible AI Enablement
Design and implement new approaches that extend beyond formal training and static policies, SOPs, and guidance documents to make Responsible AI and AI governance guidance actionable at the point of need
Explore and deliver innovative enablement mechanisms, such as interactive or conversational guidance tools, embedded workflow support, and context-aware access to policies, standards, and decision logic, to help colleagues find and apply expectations consistently
Partner with technical teams to prototype and scale enablement solutions that improve usability and correct application of Responsible AI expectations

Similar opportunities
The closest matches from our peer group, ranked by how similar they are, not how well you'd qualify for them -- treat this as market context, not a guaranteed shortlist; a weak match is labeled as one below.
How we calculate "similar"
No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.
Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.
0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
