We are seeking a Process Development Engineer III, OT Data Systems to join our Data Enablement and Analytics (DEA) team within the Product, Analytics and Process Development (PAPD) organization. In this role, you will drive the design, evolution, and governance of Operational Technology (OT) data systems that deliver high-quality data to lab specialists for real-time decision-making and offline analysis, while collaborating with lab specialists, IT teams, and distributed data managers across the organization. You'll implement value-focused data management solutions that increase asset value, meet immediate business needs, and build scalable data capabilities for the future.

Shift Requirements: Full-time, standard business hours, with flexibility to support before- and after-hours
Discover your role:
Provide technical leadership for OT data platforms, defining architecture principles and best practices that improve reliability and usability
Establish standards, controls, and audits to ensure OT data availability, integrity, quality, security, and accessibility
Coach and mentor distributed data managers and junior engineers, setting technical direction and reviewing designs
Partner with lab specialists and IT to integrate process control and data acquisition systems into a unified architecture
Lead IT/OT convergence initiatives, aligning cybersecurity posture, compliance, and network segmentation
Translate user requests into prioritized backlog items and run grooming and planning sessions
Drive incident triage and root-cause remediation while proactively monitoring system health
Serve as OT subject matter expert, leading evaluations of new platforms and presenting recommendations

This role requires:
BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Biomedical/Chemical/Electrical Engineering, or related field with 10+ years of experience, or MS with 7+ years, or PhD with 0-3 years
5+ years of experience with AVEVA PI System (Data Archive, Asset Framework) and Ignition SCADA, including high-availability design and data modeling
SQL experience in a database owner role
Demonstrated proficiency in design, deployment, and lifecycle management of OT data systems across high-availability industrial architectures
Preferred / Nice to haves:
Familiarity with control systems architecture and industry standards/protocols (ISA-95, S88, OPC, MQTT)
Working knowledge of continuous and batch manufacturing processes and related data/analytics tools
Foundational knowledge of lab-based automation software (e.g., Unicorn, Biobrain Supervise, FactoryTalk, Empower)
Growing proficiency in Python for automation, data pipelines, and tooling
Familiarity with Industry 4.0, digitalization, and IT/OT convergence concepts
