The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral scientist with pharmaceutical sciences, peptide chemistry or related background to undertake an exciting, industry research project.

The opportunity

Peptide based therapeutics is a rapidly evolving field, but the physicochemical challenges associated with these molecules, coupled with increasing complexity demands, require a deeper understanding of the factors that impact their stability. This Postdoctoral project will focus on understanding and optimizing lead formulations for peptide candidates and fixed-dose co-formulations. The candidate should be able to work effectively with an interdisciplinary team from academia and industry to implement innovative solutions.

Develop a study plan and design adequate experiments for pharmaceutical development of peptide and co-formulations

Execute in vitro stability studies

Be a catalyst in creating an environment of innovation, learning and growth in the field of pharmaceutical development for peptide therapeutics

Present research findings through internal reports, scientific contributions, supervision of research projects and initiation of new research activities.

Who are you

Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences, peptide chemistry, or a related field

Strong hands-on experience in testing peptide delivery systems and relevant analytical methods and desire to learn/develop new methods

Highly motivated with a passion for applied scientific research and technical innovation

Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills are required. Must be able to participate and collaborate in highly effective, international and cross-functional teams, organizing and implementing complex research plans

Demonstrates technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought in suggesting experimental design

Experience with data analysis or programming tools (e.g. MatLab, R) is a plus
