Help us get ahead of disease together with our Process Chemist (Pilot Plant) Internship, 2027: 

Education required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in Chemistry

Other requirements: Must be enrolled at a SG university for the duration of your internship and doing a full-time credit-bearing internship

Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English

Internship period: January to June 2027

This role sits in our Jurong R&D Pilot Plant.

What will you do?

Support Process Chemist to introduce new chemistry from R&D into the Pilot Plant

Producing drug substances for use in clinical, toxicology and safety trials

Gain scale up experience and understand the pilot plant operation

Evaluating the safety and operability of a process before introducing to the Pilot Plant

What will you learn?

To learn the Pilot Plant operation

To support Process Chemist to introduce Process into Pilot Plant

To prepare Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) documentation for the scale up process and plant decon operation

To support in-process testing such as High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), Karl Fischer (KF), Gas Chromatography (GC), Loss-on-Drying (LOD)

To carry out Lab experiment for process improvement or sustainability work

What are we looking for?

A lively interest in pharmaceutical manufacturing, the commercial world and the biopharma industry

Understanding of chemistry principles and apply them in the context of plant operations activities

Comfortable working with cross functional teams of engineers, analysts, operations and technicians with diverse background Proactive, curious, able to multiple tasks and meet project timelines

Adaptability to change and working under pressure

Strong problem-solving skills driven by curiosity

Great project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
