We are looking for a Global Physical Asset Manager – Biopharma Equipment who is strategic, collaborative, and impact-driven to join our team Global Physical Asset Management Department, based at our UCB campus located in Braine-l’Alleud, Walloon Brabant, Belgium.
About the role
You will oversee the global lifecycle performance of biopharma equipment, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency. You will develop a comprehensive view of asset health, risks, and investment needs to optimize total cost of ownership across CAPEX and OPEX and support UCB’s strategy. You will act as a key driver of asset management practices across research, development, and manufacturing environments.
Who you will work with
You will collaborate with cross-functional and international teams, including asset owners, engineering, maintenance, HSE, finance, and external partners. You will also engage with global asset management colleagues to ensure consistency in standards, tools, and methodologies across sites.
What you will do
• You will deploy asset management strategies across manufacturing, development, and clinical sites.
• You will ensure data consistency and reliability within asset registers and reporting tools.
• You will lead equipment assessment programs for safety, compliance, and performance.
• You will manage technical risks and drive mitigation strategies with stakeholders.
• You will develop asset performance insights to support investment and budget decisions.
• You will drive change and foster new ways of working across global teams.
Interested? For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience, and skills:
• You hold a Master’s degree and 10+ years’ experience in pharma, biologics, or medical device manufacturing.
• You bring experience in asset, risk, or maintenance management programs.
• You demonstrate strong project or program management capabilities.
• You can lead cross-functional teams in complex, matrix, multicultural environments.
• You communicate effectively with technical experts and senior leadership.
• You show strategic thinking, influence skills, and a forward-looking mindset.
