Currently, Sanofi has the most robust pipeline and forthcoming product launches in the company’s history. The GTMC organization is charged with delivering best-in-class capabilities to bring speed and increased value to commercial operations. It will refine priorities across products, markets, and the pipeline through dynamic resources allocation and efficiencies. Silos between business units and duplicative and overlapping resources will be replaced with standardized processes and tools. Operating with a One Sanofi mindset and entrepreneurial spirit, GTMC will accelerate and improve key capabilities to do more with less and facilitate the best-informed strategic decision making across the organization.

The GTMC organization aims to:

Centralize Go-to-Market operational tasks across GBUs

Standardize best in class capabilities, strengthen global support, and implement a better vertical reporting structure within GTMC from local to global

Define ways of working, bringing clarity on the interactions across GBUs, Digital, and Commercial executional support teams from Sanofi hubs to optimize process excellence and efficiency

The Global Lead - Market Research (MR) is responsible for providing market and customer insights through the execution of market research that will help drive key strategic and tactical decisions across Sanofi with a focus on the Pharma portfolio (GenMed and Speciality Care).  As a member of the Insights and Analytics (I&A) team, this individual will be an integral strategic partner to Sanofi Commercial leadership, leading the development & application of cutting-edge market research methodologies to achieve the full potential of the Sanofi’s expanding portfolio..

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:​

Design and execute a Market Research strategy with methodologies aligned to business goals, efficiency, and cost parameters

Drive innovative use of insights to inform marketing decisions, from high-level strategic tradeoffs to operational execution

Deliver strategic, audience-tailored insights that empower Vaccine Asset Commercial teams

Provide strategic guidance and ad-hoc support to Sanofi Commercial teams and the I&A organization

Actively contribute to brand planning by grounding commercial/brand strategy in market research insights

Partner with other support functions (forecasting, analytics, competitive intelligence) to deliver integrated insights

Build strong agency partnerships to ensure reliable, high-quality research and seamless process flow

Stay current on emerging market research methodologies and vendors

Specialize across multiple therapy areas, collaborating with peer Leads to avoid duplication of effort

Participate in commercial meetings, proactively surfacing business questions that market research can address

Present market research insights to Senior Leadership

Select the right vendor for each project based on business objectives

Ensure all projects comply with relevant policies, including procurement and SOPs

Coordinate vendors throughout the research process, contributing business/brand expertise to fieldwork materials and reports

Sign off on final fieldwork materials and reports, incorporating input from all relevant stakeholders

Create engaging, innovative deliverables (e.g., avatar presentations) with clear calls to action for stakeholders

Lead and develop market research team members as needed

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, MD, PhD) preferred

Skills and Competencies

A minimum of 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical market research; equivalent combination of education (MS / MBA / PhD) and / or relevant consulting experience may be considered

Strong understanding of all types of market research methodologies, with experience of conducting both quantitative and qualitative market research from end-to-end, including strong quantitative analytical skills, data analysis and statistics

Strong strategic thinking ability, with deep understanding of the life-sciences industry

Demonstrated ability to drive to deadlines, balance competing priorities, and ensure high quality

Experience leading and developing high functioning teams

Experience across global, regional, local roles strongly preferred

Knowledge and experience with pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., prescription and sales data, patient claims data, promotional audits) preferred

Product launch experience preferred

Experience working directly within or partnering with related functions including new product planning, marketing, value & access) preferred

Soft Skills

Effectively and confidently communicate to various audiences, including senior leadership

Synthesize complex ideas to simple

Develop brand implications from market research findings, not just a summary of the data

Strong learning agility and high degree of curiosity

Strong focus on detail, accuracy, and ability to solve problems through analytical reasoning

Ability to think strategically in an ambiguous environment and flex and pivot as the business requires

The salary range for this position is :€49.600,00 - €66.133 Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
