Job Description

Finance Manager – Commercial Forecasting, AbbVie US LLC, Mettawa, IL, Hybrid (onsite 3 days a week/ 2 days WFH/remote).

Key Responsibilities

Develop a long-term Profit & Loss (P&L) forecast for drugs in various stages of development by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Research & Development (R&D), commercial, portfolio strategy, & global finance teams.

Evaluate cost of goods sold (COGS), selling, general, & administrative expenses (SG&A), & other key financial drivers of pipeline assets, & consolidate revenue potential data to obtain a fully burdened P&L perspective of an asset.

Validate assumptions for critical financial inputs, such as pricing, launch timing, uptake curves, market share, probability of technical & regulatory success, & risk adjustments to be included in the forecasting model.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Must possess a BS/BA in Finance, Accounting Analytics, Mathematics, or Statistics & 4 years of industry work experience in analytics, forecasting, public accounting, audit &/or financial planning & analysis. Of experience required, must have 4 years: (i) triangulating data sets & analytics, including cost of goods sold (COGS), potential royalty & other manufacturing costs, as well as selling, general, & administrative (SG&A) expenses, to inform the full financial aspects of a pipeline asset; (ii) managing & coordinating multiple forecasting workstream activities & shifting priorities under tight timeframes; (iii) working in a matrixed organization providing business analytics, forecasting & financial expertise, orally & in writing, to peers, business stakeholders & senior leadership;(iv) analyzing forecast data sets to derive assumptions for decision-making or further analysis; (v) independently, defining, assessing & synthesizing data to evaluate data integrity on short deadlines; & (vi) using & developing forecasting with the following financial modeling, reporting & presentation tools: Excel, BPC, PowerPoint & Power BI. Work experience may be gained concurrently.

Additional Information

Salary Range: $142,633.26 - $208,500.00 per year.
