About this opportunity
Accountable for the data specifications and data quality of specifically assigned business entities, subject areas or databases.Supports sub-domain data owners and enterprise data owner to represent data where it is consumed or produced, liase with system owners and business process owners for the proper management of the data.Helps establish enterprise data principles, standards and guidelines on behalf of the area they represent and ensure adherence to these data principles. The position is based in the Genome Valley, Hyderabad, within the Technical Research and Development Organization (TRD) of Global Drug Development (GDD).
Major accountabilities: Works with business stakeholders to propose, draft, review, and refine business names, definitions, and other data model specifications for assigned entities and data attributes.Facilitates shared learning between Business Users and Stewards and promotes active Data Governance through the Data Governance team.Defines and maintains data quality requirements and business rules for assigned data attributes.Assists the Data Quality Expert in data quality test planning and design, test data creation, and data requirements verification.Support data cleansing, remediation, and continuous improvement activities to improve data reliability and usabilityDrives user community adoption of Data Quality PrinciplesContribute to the preparation of reports, metrics, and governance documents.Provides input to data policies, standards, and procedures.Ensures compliance with data privacy, security and regulatory policies (including regional specificity)Minimum Requirements : 2+ years of relevant experience in data governance and/or science with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experienceKnowledge of pharmaceutical and/or life sciences domain is an advantageExperience working in a matrix environment with cross-functional stakeholders is desirableStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Hands-on experience with programming and data analysis(Python, R, etc..)Experience applying statistics, DoE,multivariate analysis in scientific or industrial settings.Experience with visualization and storytelling (eg: PowerBI dashboards)Knowledge of Structured Query Language.
