We are seeking a Director, Portfolio Governance to join our Development organization, supporting portfolio-level decision-making in an onsite role. In this role, you will own and evolve our governance framework, ensuring decisions are made at the right level, with the right information, at the right time, while collaborating with senior leaders, governance chairs, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive decision quality and reduce cycle time.

Discover your role:

Own and continuously evolve the governance framework to enable scalable, high-quality decision-making across the portfolio

Establish decision quality standards, ensuring options, trade-offs, risks, and recommendations are clearly articulated

Facilitate governance forums to drive structured discussions and actionable outcomes

Define governance performance metrics and translate insights into a closed-loop improvement model

Synthesize governance outputs into portfolio-level insights, surfacing cross-program risks and systemic bottlenecks

Partner with senior leaders and governance chairs to align priorities and reinforce governance expectations

Drive cross-forum integration to streamline escalation pathways and improve decision flow

Coach and develop team members, building the skills and capabilities needed for portfolio delivery

This role requires:

Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical development, or consulting

Proven experience designing governance frameworks, operating models, or decision-making processes

Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights and action

Exceptional executive communication and facilitation skills

Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performance teams

Nice to haves:

Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)

Experience leveraging technology and digital solutions (dashboards, workflow tools, analytics platforms) to enable scalable processes
