Demand & Launch Planner Coordinator
About this opportunity
Lead the demand planning process for the assigned product portfolio, ensuring accurate forecasts, optimal inventory levels, and alignment between commercial, supply chain, and global planning teams. Support business continuity and service performance through proactive analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement of planning processes and systems.
Major Accountabilities Develop, maintain, and continuously improve demand forecasts for assigned brands and product portfolios. Coordinate with Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Regulatory, and Supply Chain teams to incorporate business assumptions, launches, promotions, and market trends into the demand plan. Ensure adequate inventory levels while balancing service targets, inventory objectives, and working capital requirements. Monitor forecast accuracy, inventory performance, stock availability, and supply risks, leading corrective actions when needed. Support and participate in S&OP / IBP processes, providing demand insights and business recommendations. Collaborate with regional and global planning teams to align demand requirements with supply capabilities and manage escalations. Ensure planning master data and system parameters are maintained and optimized to support planning effectiveness. Generate and analyze planning KPIs, providing insights and recommendations to support decision making. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support implementation of planning tools, systems, and best practices. Act as a key business partner across functions to ensure alignment and excellence in execution. Essential requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics, Pharmacy, or related discipline.3+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, S&OP, Supply Chain, or Operations Planning.Experience within pharmaceutical, healthcare, FMCG, or highly regulated industries.Advanced IT skills, including knowledge of ERP and planning systems (SAP, Kinaxis, IBP, APO, or similar) and Excel/reporting tools.Fluent English and Spanish.Commitment to Diversity and InclusionNovartis is committed to building an outstanding, inclusive work environment and diverse team representative of the patients and communities we serve.
