Your new role

As a Clinical Trial Administrator, you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth conduct of clinical trials in compliance with regulatory requirements and study protocols.  .

You will support the local study team across all phases of trial preparation, execution and close-out, including document management, trial tracking, and coordination of study activities to maintain high-quality trial delivery. As part of the Business Operational Unit, the CTA also manages vendors and provides smooth payments process.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Operational Support: Provide operational and administrative support across all phases of clinical trials

Manage Trial Documentation and Compliance: Support set-up and maintenance of electronic Trial Master File (eTMF), including Investigator Trial Master File (iTMF)

Study Start-up Support: Support documentation preparation and submission

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Ensure cross-functional engagement and collaboration to support smooth clinical trial execution

Quality Oversight: Support high-quality execution of trials and maintenance of inspection readiness

Vendor management: Establish and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders related to vendor management

Payment Execution: Timely execution of clinical trial site payments, including tracking and monitoring of payments and resolving issues.  

Your new department

In Global Trial Portfolio (GTP), you'll be part of a department that explores bold scientific ideas and advances them into clinical testing. You will join the Clinical Development Centre (CDC), the dedicated hub for clinical operations in Italy and an integral part of Trial Operations EUCAN in GTP department. Here, a team of passionate professionals brings Novo Nordisk's global pipeline to Italian patients, running trials with excellence, agility and a shared commitment to quality. It is a place where curiosity is rewarded, collaboration is the norm, and every contribution has a direct impact on advancing therapies for people living with serious chronic diseases.

Your skills & qualifications

We're looking for a Clinical Trial Administrator who combines attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset. To succeed in this role, you will bring:

A Bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related field

Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a Clinical Research Organisation (CRO) is strongly preferred

Comprehensive understanding of clinical trial phases, regulatory guidelines, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and ethical considerations

Proficiency in using Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS) and other digital tools to manage study documentation, track activities, and support efficient clinical trial operations

Expertise in managing multiple tasks, timelines, and stakeholders, ensuring smooth trial operations and timely completion of milestones

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Analytical and problem-solving capabilities to address study-related issues and propose solutions

Strong attention to detail, integrity, and ability to exercise good judgement

Willingness to embrace new digital tools and methodologies to enhance efficiency and improve ways of working

Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and changing clinical trial environment

Salary:  For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 36,640.00 to 53,130.00 EUR, corresponding to the level of the position.​

The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.​

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level,  location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.​
