Calibration Technicians support our manufacturing operations by performing mechanical, electrical, calibration, electronic, and utility-related tasks. When & where:
Location: East Greenbush, NY
Working shift: Monday-Friday 10:00pm-6:30am
Training shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm for approximately 6 months
Discover your role:
Calibrate various types of instrumentation including temperature, pressure, level, flow, and analytical instruments
Perform loop check, tune, troubleshoot, and start-up of instrumentation
Work with medium and low voltages
Perform basic plumbing and tube bending jobs
Assist the Facilities Management-Maintenance (FM-M) process and Clean Utility technicians in troubleshooting facilities and process related issues
Perform daily Work Orders (WO) and Preventative Maintenance (PM), and efficiently coordinating the workflow and documentation of PMs and WOs
Communicate and coordinate with each department and within Facilities Management when planned and unplanned work events occur
Plan and schedule outside contractors/vendors to perform scheduled and/or non-scheduled PM or general work, as needed
Participate in compliance investigations if and when necessary
This role requires:
AAS degree, preferably in an Engineering or Construction Technologies related area and the following minimum years of related experience: 2+ years or HSD/GED and 5+ years for Calibration Technician II, 5+ years or HSD/GED and 8+ years for Calibration Technician III, 8+ years or HSD/GED and 11+ years for Calibration Technician IV
Demonstrated basic problem-solving skills
Ability to learn and follow routine procedures independently as well as part of a team
The ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs
Participating in a rotating on-call schedule
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain effective time management skills to allow deadlines to be met in a timely manner
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and overall comfort and general familiarity with computer systems
Gowning and Environment:
Full cleanroom attire (Examples may include: including laundered undergarments, gown, facemask, hairnet, safety glasses, safety shoes and booties, latex gloves and the use of sanitizing agents during gowning process including IPA)
Ability to remove jewelry, make-up and nail adornments when wearing cleanroom attire
Level will be determined based on qualifications relevant to the role
