We are looking for a talented and motivated  Biomanufacturing Manager - Upstream to join our Belgium Biomanufacturing Operations Center in Braine-L’Alleud, Belgium.

About the role :

You will be responsible for overseeing manufacturing operations within a biopharmaceutical production environment. You will ensure production runs efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards while fostering continuous improvement and team development. You will play a key role in delivering production targets, maintaining quality standards, and building a strong, engaged team.

Who you’ll work with :

You will be working in a team that collaborates closely with production teams, quality specialists, supply chain, technical services, and human resources. You will lead team leaders and technicians while partnering with cross-functional experts to ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient manufacturing operations.

 

What you’ll do :

Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution of manufacturing operations aligned with quality, safety, and production targets

Lead and support team leaders and technicians, promoting collaboration, development, and continuous improvement

Monitor production performance, analyze results, and implement corrective actions when needed

Oversee equipment readiness with technical teams, including maintenance, qualification, and calibration

Manage deviations, investigations, and corrective actions to ensure regulatory compliance

Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support audits and inspections

Interested ? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills :

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science, engineering, or related field

Proven experience (10+ years) in biopharmaceutical manufacturing

Experience in leading production teams in a regulated environment (including executive-level staff), high leadership skills

Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, industrial production processes and technologies, included upstream processes

Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Ability to work in highly dynamic environment and to handle challenging situations

Fluent in French and English
